Vixen Hill does not use random lumber yard picks and varied species. Just as with our shutters and porch systems, the Vixen Hill process begins with hand selecting the finest Western Red Cedar from British Columbia. Our private lumber mill saws cedar tree-trunk cants for the clearest, tightest vertical grains. Air-dried for six months, the cedar is then precision milled to military standards before being assembled into finished products. It's the world's finest Western Red Cedar and is rot and insect resistant while offering the highest strength to weight ratio of almost any wood.
