Shutter Pintels

Plate mount pintels are appropriate where a flat wooden surface is available for mounting. They simply attach to the mounting point with the included screws.

Our pintels are black powder coated, galvanized carbon steel. They measure 1 1/2" wide by 3 1/2" long, with a 1/2" diameter barrel.

Jamb leaf pintels are used to mount to the interior of the window jamb in situations where no other positions are available.

Our Jamb lead pintels have a 1/2" barrel and measure 1 1/2" wide x 3 1/2" tall. They are made of Galvanized carbon steel, with a black powder coat. Sets include 2 left pintels and 2 right pintels.

Lag mount pintels are appropriate when mounting into brick or masonry, but can be used in many situations where other mounting types are not workable. Offset is adjustable by varying the depth of the lag screw into the wall.

These lag pintels are made of Galvanized carbon steel and black powder coated. The lag measures 1/2" in diameter, with a 1/2" pintel barrel diameter.

For more challenging environments where salinty or other factors increase corrosion, we offer stainless steel hardware. These lag pintels have the same black powder coat finish as the standard pintels, with a stainless steel core.

These lag pintels are made of 304 stainless steel and black powder coated. The lag measures 1/2" in diameter, with a 1/2" pintel barrel diameter.

For occasions where a plate mount pintel is appropriate but space is limited, we offer narrow plate mount pintels. They have a simpler, purely rectangular backplate which minimizes the space needed for mounting.

Our narrow plate mount pintels are made of 304 stainless steel and black powder coated. They have a 1/2" pintel barrel diameter, and a backplate which measure 3/4" x 1 3/4".
